Boston College wins the NCAA women’s lacrosse championship in Maryland.

B.C. beats Syracuse 16-10 at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Maryland. It is the fourth consecutive trip to the final game for B.C., and the first in which they are victorious. Senior Charlotte North scores 6 times, finishes the season with an NCAA single-season record of 102 goals and playoff record of 31 goals, and wins the Tewaaraton Award as the best player in women’s college lacrosse.
